Pink Grape – Small pink tomato with a big personality
What is Pink Grape?
Pink Grape is a productive cocktail tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) that bears masses of small pink fruits in dense trusses. A sweet, juicy tomato for anyone who wants to grow tomatoes from seed and loves colour and flavour in the kitchen.
Background and name
The variety comes from Russia and is named after the grape-like trusses of pearly pink tomatoes.
Appearance and growth habit
A tall-growing (indeterminate) variety that needs side shoots removed and support. The fruits weigh about 15–20 grams and hang in long trusses.
Flavour and uses of Pink Grape
A sweet, fruity flavour with plenty of aroma. Excellent eaten straight from the plant, in salads or oven-roasted.
Ripening time, resistance and storage
Ripens early – about 65 days. Good resistance to fruit splitting and copes with changeable weather. The tomatoes keep for 5–7 days at room temperature.
Pollination tips
Shake the plant or use a small brush in a greenhouse.
How to grow Pink Grape
